Moscow subway accepting squats instead of rubles

What else could the government do to encourage exercise?

  1. Wow! First of all, I completely love the idea! haha
One idea is that they could have some different options besides the squats one, for those with some debility. For example, there could be a vending machine for arm exercises if someone has some leg problem, or just would prefer exercise arms then legs. Having more options would affect and motivate a greater public, namely, a greater part of the population.

  2. That is an absolutely great idea!! It is a good promotion for the future Olympic games in Russia, and good encouragement for people to exercise! I also think that government could probably do the sport more available for people with disabilities, like provide courts equipped good enough for disable people on the wheelchair to do sport. They also can promote sport among the children. They also can promote the free of charge gyms for people who, for example, would encourage other people to do sport with them, and will bring a lot of people to the gym. Another thing, which could motivate regular people is to give them a price for Marathon. There are no marathons in Russia at all

  3. I really like the idea!! They should offer this option everywhere. I would love to take the bus. The governement can promote pay part of the taxes by going to the gym. Also they can promote.

  4. This article piqued my interest. I really like the idea to set up in metro station in Moscow the ticket machine that gives a free ride when passengers do an exercise routine. This machine will be the good promotion for the Olympic Games in Sochi and will help to show to many people the spirit of the Olympic movement.

  6. In Mexico government has done good things about it. They have sot up exercise machines in public places (like those in the gym), and they have classes of zumba for free too outdoors. This is not new, I think China has this kind of services. Hence, governments can follow the example of this countries.
