The power of nature is enormous; nobody can neglect it. In most of the time, people didn't prepare enough for it. Countries like Philippines, Indonesia, often suffer from those disasters, because these countries are besides the sea, and their population are large. There is almost no good solutions, even the richest country like the US has suffered from tornado and typhoon.
Natural disaster has a powerful impact on the world. Some naturals disasters are beyond human control like in this case the typhon. As the news says: "People in the Philippines are used to typhoons, but the scale of this is completely unprecedented. This storm cause a lot of desctruction because nobody expected its desectructive power.
Besides the power of the storm, the place was not prepare for such a disaster. It is obvious that is hard to be 100% protected for a natural disaster. However, people living in bad conditions increase the damages of these natural disasters.
We cant fight a natural disaster. However, we can be prepared before, during and after. In order to do that we need sources, a good plan, and a safe place. I think the people of Philippines were not prepare for this kind of event.
