This article was very interesting and caught my attention. “Mr. Read is a good person who helped to return stolen items from a cosmetic store. The fact that he ran more than 100 marathons helped him to do that. I like what he said to the thief when he tried to catch him: “I told him he could let me have the stuff back or I’d call the police and keep running after him.” If we had more people like Mr. Read our world would be better!!!
Citizens definitely should get involved in that type of crimes that are not really serious and dangerous for their lives. It is important that people understand they part in the society! I was really impressed with the woman from the article! She did really great job! :)
I think only trained people is the best people to help in this situations. However, as normal citizens we must do everything we can do without risk any life.
I think safety is more important than catch a crime. If people can handle it, it's good if they can help; if they can't, it's ok if they wait for the police.
Yes, they should. Because the thieves will be afraid to rob again. I would like to help to prevent or avoid, or even stop a crime. I know that sometimes can be dangerous but it is really good when citizen get involved in stop a crime. I served in the army, so I can my abilities to stop the crime and contribute for the safety of the other people.
Answering the question, if citizens have capacity to beat a thief, they should involve a crime and help to catch a thief like Mr. Read caught the thief with his great marathon ability. People like me who can't stand infront of a thief had better stay away from a crime scene and try not to bother or burden police's work.

ReplyDeleteIt depends of the type of crime. If you think that you are able to help someone or do something to stop a crime, you should do it.
