Airlines squeeze even more seats into airplanes.

The airlines say that with the new seats, you won't notice the closer spacing. Do you think this is true?

  1. Well, I agree with one of the customers who said that more than one hour in those airplanes is uncomfortable. So, I like to have the comfort. For me something essential is to have a place to seat for many hours and feel good and i think that for long distance like international flights, they could have more mercy and make seats more comfortable. In other hand, domestic flight they can do whatever they want because if the seat is uncomfortable i can handle for a little time.

  2. I believe that there is some technology around these new seats, but physical space is physical space, it is impossible to not note that. Economic flights are famous for not being very comfortable, so instead of make it worse, airline companies should try to make it more attractive and better for consumer. I am sure that the squeeze of seats will be clearly noted by consumers.

  3. I read almost the same article about Korean airplane, which puts more seats to economic place. When I read the article, I thought it could be uncomfortable. After I read this article about American airplane, I also thought the same thinking. Even though the airport's purpose was good enough at first, many passengers can be uneasy with the changes. I can't understand why the airport changes the seats for their customers, and how they think that the customers can't notice it. Of course, common people don't use airplane often, so they may not notice the changes. However, they must feel a little uneasiness while they are in the airplane.

  4. This is Pedro. I don't really think that this is true because those seats are already really uncomfortable for passengers. Squeezing them would make them even more uncomfortable.

  5. The idea to change seats can bring some benefits for many passengers. If the company installs both 110-volt and USB power at every coach seat, it will increase the number of people who want to fly on Alaska Airlines. As for me, I like the idea to make seats lighter and getting away the magazine pocket from passengers knees.

  6. I don't think so. It was squeeze before, and it would be more squeeze in the future...people will have noticed that. Even though they use the new technic to make seats smaller and lighter, it's hard to say that it would be more comfortable.

  7. The said part about it they are going to squeeze the seats for sure. And mostly airlines companies do it for getting more money, they are hungry for more benefits than they already have.! It is not a good idea to put more people on board, which is the same size as it used to be. I doubt that customers won't notice the closer spacing. But no matter what we thing, the air companies are going to do it anyways. And they do it for money, like I said. It is sad.

  8. I think that we are going to be able to notice it, however, the advantages are going to be for the airlines because the tickets are going to be more expensive and for us it is still going to be uncomfortable.

  9. I think everybody is going to notice that the airlines are going to squeeze the seats. When I fly in an airplane for me is very uncomfortable because the space that i have is not enough to feel comfortable. Now that the airlines are going to squeeze the chairs, it would be more uncomfortable for everybody!
