This is Kyusuk. First, the damage by hurricane Raymond will be severe for Mexico's economy. The article says that the velocity of this hurrican is 170mph that can make the tree destroyed. And, it contains huge inces of rains, reaching 8 inches, so it will cause a flood in the coast. I think the town around the coast will be damaged with collapsed trees, houses, and flood. If water dumps to the town, electricity will be shut down that causes the town damaged economically, and after hurricane, recovering works will demand a lot of amount of money too.
Of course this natural disaster will affect the economy in Mexico. First, Acapulco is one of the most visits beaches in Mexico. Many tourists spend their money there. With the appearance of the hurricane those visits will be reduce tremendously hotels and many small business have been affected. Second, government will need to spend a lot of money to repair the damage in the infrastructure. This hurricane caused a huge flood and, as a result, people were displace from their home. Houses, hospitals, and the airport were severe affected. For these and many other reasons natural disasters affect every country's economy.
This is Pedro. Of course that the hurricane will bring bad effects to Mexico's economy. The fact that the government will spend a huge amount of money to rebuild somethings it is only one of the reasons to support the idea.
I think that this hurricane will affect the economy in Mexico but not in a big way. Mexico has an account for this kind of disasters. The real problem is corruption. With kind of disasters political leaders use the special account to help the people for their own convenience. Of course the tourism will stop during this time, however, if the reserved money really would be used well, the time of recover will be faster.
I believe that hurricane can affect any country if it would happen there. And of course it could affect Mexico's economy too. Any natural disasters have consequences like destroyed buildings, streets, parks, hospitals, loss of thousands of people..... it definitely can cause big problem in economy of the country.
I think that Mexican economy will be affected by this hurricane because Acapulco is one of the most important places to visit in mexico, therefore, many people spend money in there. Because it doesn't look very well right now people wont want to go and the government will invest a lot in it
