It is a really rare technique to help the preservations of this animals. However, I do not what to think to be sincere. For example, if you kill a old rhino, this will create the opportunity to have a better reproduction within the younger animals. On the other hand, it is very unfair to kill an animal just because is old. These animals have the right to live free and continue their measure of their creation. I think that people should leave live animals and end their lives peacefully.
This is Kyusuk. I think if their argument is true, I agree with this statement. I've heard that rhinos are endangered species, so they have to reproduce their offsprings. And personally, I like these animals that are really rare to see and they are found only in the zoo. So, I think it's okay to kill one older males to save other young males to reproduce well.
I believe it is okay to kill one endangered animal if it saves others. For example in this article, if death of old males can bring more offspring, why not kill them, on the other side, giving permit to those hunter clubs can bring more funds to protect the endangered animals, especially for those poor countries. Furthermore, even many people try to protect those endangered animals, there always some people kill them, and they never pay for the killing.
The article is very surprising, and it kept my attention immediately. Killing rhinos to save rhinos is a controversial topic. In my opinion, if the older rhinos are the real cause of extinction of rhinos, then giving a hunting permission is the solution. However, it is difficult to control poachers if they will target only the older ones because rhinos' horns are extremely demand for medical purpose. In fact, there is an evidence that rhinos' population reduced rapidly because of poachers in 1960s and 70s. Thus, the government should consider carefully the permission of hunting rhinos.
It is possible that I do not understand very well the benefit to kill one of them to preserve the others, but whatever the reasons, I am pretty sure that it is possible to find some other way to resolve the problem. It is controversial kill one animal in danger to save others. If the animal is in danger, how many more are alive better.
I think that it is valid. Sometimes we have to make sacrifices to save things. In this case, killing older rhinos is a good idea to let the younger ones reproduce more.
This was a very interesting article. I could learn more about rhinos. In my opinion, is okay to kill one rhino to help to preserve the others. Nature is like that, it is natural selection and it is valid if the other animals are in danger.
The intention of this hunter is good. However, his statement is just a theory. I think that saving a whole specie by sacrificing some members is a good idea. Nevertheless in this situation they need to do a deeper research, try this theory once or twice and see what happens.
