This is Kyusuk. Now, the U.S. government and bank started to distribute new $100 bill to the world. Due to the counterfeiting threats, they added new securities to distinguish from the counterfeit bills. In my country, many problems have already occurred by distribution of counterfeit by people, but those were not really issued. I think those still can cause problems, but now the general views by the public are not really concerned with the counterfeit.
ReplyDeleteCounterfeiting is a problem for all country's currencies, however, as a universal currency in this world, counterfeiting hurt US dollar very much. You can counterfeit US dollars in anywhere and use it in anywhere of the world, and some counterfeiting groups are countries. In contrast, Chinese money doesn't get so many attentions, and you can not use Chinese money in other countries except China. Most counterfeiting group are small local groups, it is easy for the Chinese government to deal with them.
ReplyDeleteI like the comment of Yang Liu. It is true that the counterfeiting of the American dollar can cause much more problems in the world than the currency of any other country. That's why I believe that to add more securities to the American currency would help help out economics in many different countries because the new banknote would be hart to fake/counterfeit.

ReplyDeleteColombian money is cuter than American. It is smaller and easier to count. There are bills from 1000 to 50000 pesos ( 1800 pesos equals 1 dollar) and we also have coins of 50,100,200,and 500 pesos. The people on the bills are important people to us. They are people who helped free colombia. Counyrtfeiting is definately a problem. I have had counterfered bills many times, and it's not a good experience. I really needed to buy something but i couldnt because it wants a real bill. However, Colombian banks are orking hard in the new bills they've done, which have much more security.
Counterfeiting is a problem in my country, some people publish bills illegally and spent them in small shops where have no machines to distinguish if they are fake or not. They get the small changes which are real bills from the shops, and the fake bills go to the market by those shops.
ReplyDeleteComparing the appearance of the bills in BRazil and the USA, Brazilian bills are very colorful, each bills has a different color. HEre in USA the bills has pretty much the same color. Another point to compare in what goes on the bills. HEre in USA there president's pictures or monuments. In Brazilian Bills each bill has a different animal, representing our wide variety of animals.
ReplyDeleteCounterfeiting is a problem in BRazil. It used to be worse, but now there are some ways to check the validity of the bills.
