Will the government shutdown affect you? Why or why not?
ReplyDeleteIt definitely affects me. There is an interesting part in the article: they say ..."No, it's not an anarchist's (or libertarian's?) dream. Essential services, such as social security and Medicare payments, will continue.
The US military service will keep operating, and Obama signed emergency legislation on Monday night to keep paying staff."....
So, they say that the Social Security Office is open because it is essential service. Well. it doesn't work since the 1st of October!!! So, apparently it does affect me, since the office is closed, I cannot get my Social Security Account Number, and as a consequence I cannot work! And I don't like it! It looks like they lied in the article: they said the office is going to work but the fact is that it doesn't work !!! The office doesn't issue the SSN, doesn't do changes in the database, doesn't even allow to make a copy of your own SSN!!! It's absolute lie in the article!!!

ReplyDeleteI think it affects me. ELC didn't shutdown neither the taxes didn't cut down a lot with the shutdown of government. Ok, just kidding. I still have school to go, I still have my job, I also receive my wage regularly, everything is normal, nothing special. I don't think it would still works well for a long time, but right now, everything is okay.
